Trichambaram Temple Guide and Travel Attractions

Located around 20 km from Kannur the temple of Trichambaram is a beautiful complex in the State of Kerala. The presiding deity Sree Krishna looks resplendent in this lovely temple area, and the place is very famous for the fortnight long festival that begins on March 6 every year. The Trichambaram Sree Krishna temple is located in the Taliparamba area of the district of Kannur and is a fascinating religious locale in this part of India. The deity here Lord Krishna represents the Sri Krishna after killing King Kamsa. This lord who killed the demon is supposed to be very hungry after the killing so the feeding or the Prasad or Neivaidhyam as it is called here is done as soon as the door of the shrine is opened. Prambanan – When Mind Stands Still

Whenever I think of a trip abroad, I am always reminded of how my sister in law had gone to Singapore and Indonesia and had told me to visit the places for sure. So when I got an opportunity to go on a vacation this time, I went to Indonesia. Armed with all the enthusiasm and joy to go on a break, I was quite enthralled by Indonesian culture and the warmth that they exuded. While on a tour of the country, I went to this one place where I just felt time stood still. Totally mesmerized and hypnotized, I instantly sat down and wrote this blog. This was the area of the Prambanan temple where which is a great construction of the 10th century. Dating back to this time, the ancientness of the building is what made it look so beautiful. The kings RAkai Balitung and Rakai Pikatan were responsible for having got this constructed and this temple is famous  [...]

Tripunithura Travel Pleasures

Tripunithura is a lovely region in God’s Own country Kerala which has the best travel delights and the most interesting tour pleasures. A very integral part of travel and tourism in Kerala, this is a place which was the capital of Cochin earlier. The royal family of Cochin in fact still resides here. The Hill Palace was the palace of the Maharaja of Cochin,who was the ruler of the Cochin kingdom in those days. Tripunithura has its own history about how it was named. People say that the name came from “poorna Veda  Puri” meaning the town of the Vedas . Also that there was the name which said that it comes from the world meaning the land on either side of the River Poorna. Legend has it that Arjuna once visited Lord Vishnu and got an idol which Arjuna carried in his pooni or quiver. He wanted to install it when he met Lord  [...]

Guruvayoor temple

The Krishna temple, in the town of Guruvayoor is one of the most famous Indian temples in India. The other temples are the Puri Jagannath of Orissa, the Nathdwara temple in Rajasthan, the Venkatachalapati temple in Andhra Pradesh. The presiding idol of the Guruvayoor temple is Lord Vishnu but it is recognized as a Krishna temple. It is believed that the boy Krishna runs around these temple premises thus giving it the status of the abode of Lord Vishnu on earth. One of the Mahakshetras or great abodes of worship, the temple is considered to be one as it is near the sea, and has its origins in a forest.
